After Hours Care

If you have a life threatening emergency, call 911.

If you would like to speak to a physician to help you decide how to treat an illness or injury after hours or to help you decide whether to
go to an emergency room or urgent care call 734-429-9377.  You will be prompted to hit "0" and will be connected with the on-call physician. This is available whenever the office is closed including lunch, nights, weekends and holidays.

If you receive care at an emergency room or urgent care, please let us know by calling 734-429-9377 or via secure email at  www.deborahlpeerymd.com within 48 hours so we can assist with follow up care as needed.

Location

208 W. Bennett, Saline, Michigan (the office is in west end of the Bennett Center Building)

Free parking is available in the lot in front of the building. The office is handicap accessible and we have a wheelchair available, if needed.

Types of Appointments

If you have a life threatening emergency that requires immediate attention, call 911.

If you need an appointment for an illness, injury or routine healthcare, call 734-429-9377 or send a request via secure email at www.deborahlpeerymd.com.  We make every effort to accommodate your requests and offer you same day appointments, if requested.  Please let the receptionist know if you have several issues to discuss so an appropriate appointment length is scheduled.

Payment

We participate with many insurances including Medicare, Blue Cross, Blue Care Network, HAP, Priority Health, Health Plus, Humana and others.  Be sure to check with us to confirm we accept your insurance before making an appointment. Please be prepared to pay for the service (or appropriate co-pays or deductibles) at the time of the visit.  We accept cash, personal checks, bank debit cards, HSA debit cards, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover.  If you have a billing question or want to discuss payment or your bill you may call 734-429-9377
and discuss the issue.  You may also use our website secure email feature at www.deborahlpeerymd.com to contact the office.

Prescriptions

Please provide your pharmacy name and phone number. We use electronic prescribing, which decreases the risk of drug interactions, allergic reaction and incorrect dosages.

Refills of existing prescriptions can be requested by calling 734-429-9377 or using our website www.deborahlpeerymd.com.  Please have available the name of the medication, the dosage and how often you take it.  Please note narcotic refills are not done after hours.

If you have questions about a new medication or about discontinuing medication(s), please call 734-429-9377 or send an email via our website www.deborahlpeerymd.com.

Tests/Test Results

We draw blood at the office and send the samples to St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals, University of Michigan or Quest labs depending on
insurance coverage. We use St Joseph Mercy Hospitals and University of Michigan for most routine diagnostic and radiology tests.

You will be contacted by us on all test results either with a phone call, secure email or in writing depending on your preference.

Becoming an Active & Engaged Patient

The more engaged you are as a patient, the more likely your healthcare needs will be met.  To help achieve this please consider the following:

  • Arrive on time for your appointment.
  • Bring information about your medications, past treatment and  current insurance to every visit.
  • Bring a list of questions and concerns to every visit.
  • Tell us when you get care somewhere else and give us permission for your information to be shared.
  • Ask questions about the explanation we give and next steps until you understand.
  • Ask how different treatments and tests may affect you.
  • Tell us when you have concerns, even if we do not ask.
  • Understand what your medications are for and how to take them.
  • Please feel free to bring a companion to the appointment if you feel you have physical limitations (for example limited sight or hearing) or would benefit from their emotional support.
